Ella Ben Ami, a first-year Reichman University student at the Baruch Ivcher School of Psychology and the Arison School of Business, whose father, Ohad Ben Ami, returned from captivity, shared her thoughts to mark the 500 days:
"500 days in captivity. My father told me today that in captivity you don't count days, you count minutes, you count seconds.
October 7th happened 500 days ago but it actually lasted until now for 73 of our brothers who are experiencing hell until now, every minute in their flesh.
When my father came out of captivity even in my worst nightmares I couldn't believe he would look like this and to think that he left behind people who would look worse when they got out is a thought that doesn't let me sleep at night.

My father is here and it is huge and happy but I promised him that I would bring them all back so my fight for the return of all the hostages continues.
I invite everyone to fast with us today for the 500 minutes and to stand with us in the square at 20:00 for an emergency rally to shout that everyone must be brought home."
