"It all started in the fall of 2016 when an American and a Swede were studying their Master’s degree at the Interdisciplinary Center of Herzliya.
Back in 2010, Daniel Jacobsson left Europe (Sweden) to proudly serve in the Israeli military. After his service, he continued to the Interdisciplinary Center of Herzliya where he pursued his Bacherlor’s degree in Government. He decided to continue his education and pursue his Master’s degree in Counter-terrorism and Homeland Security.
In 2012, Liz Iskow went on Taglit and fell in love with Israel. In 2014, Liz graduated from Florida State with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology. After graduation, she moved to Israel to volunteer for MASA Israel Journey and teach English in Rishon LeZion. After her program, she moved back to Miami. But she always felt that she needed to return to Israel. She decided to pursue her Master’s in Counter-Terrorism and Homeland Security at IDC Herzliya.
It was in the fall of 2016 that Daniel and Liz met and fell in love. They met in the class, “American Presidency” and the rest is history.
In June 2018, Daniel and Liz returned to IDC from Washington, D.C. for graduation. The day after they graduated, Daniel proposed to Liz at IDC where they first met."
