Reichman University Mourns the Loss of Prof. Amnon Rubinstein

Dear Friends, Supporters, Parents, and Alumni,

Reichman University and American Friends of Reichman University mourn the loss of Israel Prize winner and former Education Minister, Prof. Amnon Rubinstein.

 

Founding President, Prof. Uriel Reichman, remembers him as a dear friend and visionary, highlighting his significant impact on Israeli academia and higher education accessibility.

Prof. Rubinstein played a vital role in establishing the constitutional foundations of the Basic Laws, reinforcing Israel's identity as a Jewish and democratic state. 

His diverse contributions spanned law, academia, legislation, and advocacy for Israel's national and universal Zionist character.

 

As Dean of the Harry Radzyner School of Law and Vice President of the University, Prof. Rubinstein left an enduring mark. 

In October 2022, he established the Rubinstein Center for Constitutional Challenges at Reichman University, addressing present-day constitutional issues.

 

The funeral will take place on Monday, January 22 at 1:00 PM at Kiryat Shaul cemetery, with the procession beginning at Reichman University at 11:00 am. 

 

Prof. Amnon Rubinstein will be remembered for his profound influence on various aspects of Israeli society.
