ISRAEL AT HEART ETHIOPIAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

For students of Ethiopian background, this program offers a full tuition scholarship, living stipend, extra English lessons, tutoring, full time program coordinator and additional support to ensure their success. Students are also trained to speak and present. Some participate in public advocacy training, and are sent on speaking tours abroad and endorsed by Israeli embassies, consulates and communities. IDC Herzliya also assists with finding appropriate internships, employment and graduate programs.
“This scholarship was central to my ability to acquire a higher education. Without the scholarship, I would not have been able to afford to study at IDC Herzliya.”(Tesema Samuel, Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy & Strategy)

VETERANS OF ELITE IDF UNITS AND LONE SOLDIERS

IDC Herzliya allocates admissions slots for former military personnel who have displayed leadership skills. This unique admissions process gives preference to commanders and officers who served in elite IDF units or who show a rich technological background. Candidates require a matriculation certificate and proof of IDF service, letters of recommendation, and a CV detailing leadership, command postings and military operational experience.

“I chose to study at IDC for many reasons. One appeal is that they offer the degree I had wanted to study, a BA in Communications, in my native language. Another huge reason I chose to study at IDC is because they are known for their Zionistic views and their love towards soldiers who have immigrated and left their families behind to defend this beautiful land. Your generous donation towards my education has been an immense help to my future family and myself.”(Israel Rubinstein, Sammy Ofer School of Communications)

KEREN OR (“RAY OF LIGHT”)

This unique study program, in operation since 2001, seeks out candidates from disadvantaged socio-economic sectors in Israel. Candidates are identified through an unconventional admissions process that overcomes traditional barriers – namely the standard Psychometric examination – and uses unique screening criteria including a workshop and personal interviews. Students study either Business Administration (3-year degree) or Computer Science (4-year degree).
“The Keren Or scholarship was a turning point for me. I’ll never forget the moment I got the phone call when they told me I was accepted. From that day on, my life changed completely. I finally got to where I could maximize my potential and study in a place where the sky is the limit.”(Yogev Gelfand, Arison School of Business)

RAPHAEL RECANATI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

IDC is home to 2,000 full-time students earning their Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees entirely in English at our International School. These young men and women have traveled from 86 countries around the world to live in Israel and fulfill their dream of higher education. For many, it is a financial struggle to pay their tuition, and the RRIS scholarship program addresses this need.

“Once the decision to come to Israel was made, it took me no time to know that IDC was the right place for me. Today I can tell you I was completely right. This place has taught me so much in so little time. I’ve had the opportunity to meet amazing people from all over the world, to learn from the best teachers and to thrive in every aspect of my life.”
(Batya Goldaper, Baruch Ivcher School of Psychology)
